I met Kelly and Matt about a year before their wedding. We met at a local whiskey bar in town called William Olivers where we enjoyed a drink and good conversation. From the beginning, I knew that Kelly and Matt were going to be a super fun couple to work with. They are super outdoorsy and both extremely intelligent, enjoy good music and the simple life. They wanted their wedding day to be laid back and fun with a little bit of romance and a lot of partying with their family and friends.
On the wedding day they saw each other for the first time while doing their first look at the CSU oval. They are both in the world of academia, and so it was only fitting that the oval would be the perfect place to meet. From there, they headed to the Gardens on Spring Creek for their family photos and ceremony. The gardens were awesome, and reminded me of a vineyard in some parts. After their ceremony they headed to their reception at a well-known music venue in Fort Collins called Avogadro's Number (Avos for short). The funny thing is I have been going to Avo's since I was younger with my parents so to hear it was going to be the wedding venue just made it even more cool. They have a really cool green and white tent looking rain shield thing that reminds me of a hippie circus, and was one of my favorite things in the photographs :). The night was a blast and they danced for hours to the Archie Funker band. Congratulations Kelly & Matt!
