Rhea Kay + Luke's Estes Park Wedding // Mary's Lake Lodge // Estes Park Wedding Photographer

It was a beautiful day in September for Rhea Kay and Luke's Fall inspired wedding at Mary's Lake Lodge in Estes Park. Their colors were beautiful and dramatic, with hints of deep reds, purples, blues and greens. The weather couldn't have been better, and they couldn't have been more excited to see each other for the very first time.

Rhea Kay and Luke are a super cute couple. They are both so thoughtful and polite with a hint of humor, and you can tell that they are just so into the adventures to come as a couple. Heck, they were ready to adventure on their wedding day! They climbed up a big rock so we could get some epic shots of them in the distance -- Rhea Kay even took her shoes off for this little adventure and didn't flinch at the idea of climbing in her pretty dress. She was ready for it.

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding to shoot. The day literally went about as perfect as you could have imagined. You could tell so much love filled the wedding day from the best friend giggles of the bridesmaids to the dance party at the end of the night.

What Luke loves about Rhea Kay: Rhea Kay is one of the most intelligent and caring people I know; I love how we can share in deep and meaningful discussions and learn from each other. I also love her curiosity; she truly loves learning more about the world and teaching others what she knows. She is thoughtful of others needs and is always eager to provide aid to anyone who could use it. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life learning from this lady! Oh, and she is a pretty amazing baker!

What Rhea Kay loves about Luke: I love his kindness and compassion, and his willingness to put others before himself. He has a way of making me feel like the prettiest girl in the room, and he is one of the sweetest boys I know. I also love how intelligent he is! He is always teaching me something or telling me about some cool thing he read about. He is truly one of the nicest and most brilliant people I know and I can't wait to spend forever with him.

Congratulations, Rhea Kay and Luke!

Erin + Andrew Black Canyon Inn Wedding // Estes Park Wedding Photographer // Colorado Elopement Photographer

Awe, it was a day filled with epic true love. I was so excited when Andrew and Erin inquired with me last year about shooting their wedding at Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park. Not only do I love that venue, but I just loved everything that Erin and Andrew are about. Not only does Erin love pizza and donuts (see the wedding theme), but she is also passionate about living life on the bright side. I don't know if I have met a gal like her with such a sweet and spunky soul for a long time. Erin and Andrew are also big crossfitters, which I also love ;).

The wedding day was beautiful. We had the perfect amount of clouds and the perfect amount of sun. It was a chilly morning but once the day got rolling it couldn't have been more perfect in terms of weather. The fall leaves had already started to turn a little, and the fresh mountain air was invigorating. The day had finally come. A cool little fact about Erin and Andrew, but Andrew actually asked Erin's father for her hand in marriage only a few weeks after they had met. A true story of when you know, you know.

What Andrew loves about Erin: I love her wonderful sense of humor and her gigantic heart. She even cares about strangers, and she treats everyone equally. I love her eyes, her beautiful smile and when she laughs. I love her strength and her perseverance - she is much stronger than she gives herself credit for. I could go on and on about Erin, but her heart and faith in God will always stand out to me.

What Erin loves about Andrew: I love that he supports me in EVERYTHING I do. He believes in me more than I believe in myself and encourages me to always stay true to myself and to God. He is the most patient and helpful person I know. Not only does he help me with every day chores and just life in general, but he helps EVERYONE! Anything anyone needs, he is the first to offer. I love that about him. He works relentlessly in pursuit of his goals. He ALWAYS opens my door for me, and he loves me for me... I have never had to pretend to be anyone I wasn't. He has made me a better and more patient person. I wake up every day and thank God for him. I still can't believe he picked me to be his wife!

So glad I met the both of you this year, and so excited to get to know you guys better as your little Colorado adventure happens :).

Catherine + Craig's Rustic Farm Wedding // Timnath Barn // Fort Collins Wedding Photographer

Congratulations, Catherine and Craig! I had a wonderful day capturing your wedding. Can you believe these guys built this barn for their wedding? It is probably the most beautiful barn I have ever worked in. Catherine did an amazing job at executing her vision for the day with the help of some amazing vendors. It was truly a go big or go home day -- everything from the flowers, to the barn, to the band to the food and appetizers. I could have not imagined anything more perfect. But, the best part about this day was that Catherine and Craig got to say their I do's in front of the ones they loved the most. Who knew that years ago when Catherine's friend gave Craig her phone number that they would never spend another second apart after that. It's a real life western fairy tale for these two -- with a cattle farm and all.

A special thinks to Christine and her team of ladies at My Big Day Events for putting all of this together and wrangling everyone and everything. I was so impressed at how they handled all of the moving pieces! Also a special thanks to Lace and Lilies for the beautiful flowers as always :). If you can't tell by the photos already, there were a lot of flowers and every arrangement was stunning!!

Thank you Catherine and Craig! I enjoyed spending this time with you over the last year from the engagement session to the wedding day. Seeing you guys smile at one another is inspiring, and I am so happy that you guys get to love on one another for several years to come.

Erin + Andrew's Horsetooth Engagement Session // Fort Collins Wedding Photographer

I am super excited for Erin and Andrew's wedding at Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park this weekend. Out of the couples I have worked with this year, they stand out as just really fun and awesome people, who are down to do anything. Erin is super playful in nature, and Andrew just loves her silliness. Congratulations on the adventures to come, and I am so excited for your wedding!!

Christina + Travis // The Tapestry House Wedding // Fort Collins Wedding Photographer, Wedding Photographers Fort Collins

Christina & Travis's Fort Collins Wedding at The Tapestry House

It was a perfect weekend in June when Travis and Christina decided to say their I dos in front of their closest friends and family members at their Fort Collins wedding. The greenery, beautiful flowers and the charm of the Tapestry House made for a super special day. Christina and Travis originally met at Travis' work through a coworker that was friends with Christina's dad (her dad used to work for the same company in a different state). Travis asked his coworker to get Christina's phone number from her dad and then they started talking. At the time, Christina was living in Denver and they quickly began spending every weekend together. After three years of the weekend commutes they moved in together. Last summer, they hiked to the top of Horsetooth Rock to watch the sunset, and right before the sun went down Travis proposed. Christina said "yes," and was truly quite surprised.

What Travis loves about Christina: "I love that she is my best friend that I get to come home to every day. She puts up with my shenanigans and accepts me no matter what."

What Christina loves about Travis: "He is who I want to do everything with in life from the small things like grocery shopping to traveling around the world. He calls me out on my nonsense and can always make me laugh.

Thank you to our associate, Kim, for capturing this day! Thank you Christina and Travis for letting us take your beautiful photos.

Calie + Doug's Aspen Wedding // Chair Mountain Ranch, Marble, CO // Aspen Wedding Photographers

Calie + Doug's Aspen Wedding

It was a beautiful June wedding in Marble, CO, home of some of the most famous marble stone suppliers in the world. The town was really unique; literally there were marble statues and marble stones decorating the homes and properties throughout the town. Supposedly, the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. was actually built out of marble supplied from Marble, CO (Interesting tidbit of the day). Needless to say, this little town is very proud of it's history.

Calie and Doug live in St. Louis, but have a fond love of Colorado because Doug spent some of his upbringing living in Rifle, CO. When they started planning their wedding, they wanted something unique, and not just to have their wedding at a typical St. Louis venue in the city. Their heart was set on Chair Mountain Ranch, close to the several Aspen Ski Resorts, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs. They truly found a gym in this venue. The beautiful mountain views, the Aspen trees close by and the rustic charm of Chair Mountain Ranch couldn't have create a more perfect day.

Congratulations, you two!!

How They Met:
The couple met in 2006 after a loss of someone special to the both of them, Doug's aunt and Calie's best friend's mom. They had mutual important people in their lives and found their paths crossing a number of other times over the next few years. They became very special to one another quickly and had an immediate connection although initally the timing then was not right for either of them. But they knew they loved each other then. Over the next few years, Calie would always take her car to Doug's repair shop to get it worked on, and then in December of 2009 he invited her to be his date to his company's Christmas party. They have spent very few days apart since that day.

Their Engagement In The Words Of Calie:
Christmas Eve has always been a very special and fun day for me growing up. It is filled with family, fun, food, cheesy games, singing carols to grandfather's accordion playing, and so much more. On December 24, 2015, Doug proposed outside of my grandparents home before that infamous Christmas Eve celebration began. He always had to work on Christmas Eve and would usually arrive a little later than I did. This year was no exception. He called and asked for my help bringing some things in so I went outside and found my brother Cory's Santa hat laying on the side of the garage. Curious, I peaked my head around the corner to find Cory hiding in the bushes. I was clearly confused. Doug distracted me by calling me over to the front of the car, pulled out a box, opened the box and got on one knee to ask me to spend forever with him. After I said yes, we got to go inside to tell my parents first out on the deck, then go inside and share our exciting news with so many people who are so valued and important to me. We toasted our engagement with a round of grandfather's famous homemade Irish Cream. The following day we were able to share the exciting news with Doug's family on Christmas morning.

Erin + Travis's YMCA Of The Rockies Wedding // Estes Park Wedding Photographer, Fort Collins Wedding Photography

Congratulations to Erin and Travis on their Estes Park Wedding day! Erin and Travis met years ago while working in the radiology department of a hospital. Erin knew early on that Travis was the type of man she would want to grow old with; he just had something special about him. They had talked about marriage for sometime, but because Travis is very unconventional, he proposed the day after Valentine's Day. He had his daughter, Berlin, ask Erin if she would "marry her dad." Erin looked over and Travis was down on one knee. Erin describes Travis as someone who always makes her laugh, brings out her sensitive side and is an amazing man to his girls, Erin included.  She couldn't have found a better partner in life. Included in their relationship is obviously a love of dancing! Check out their epic first dance below :).

From the start, I just fell in LOVE with all of the off-beat details Erin chose for the wedding. The black wedding dress -- the theme full of cute piggies -- the beautiful moody flowers by Lace and Lilies -- the aspen tree mountain wedding cake and really just the super fun vibe. The weather couldn't have been more beautiful for this Estes Park wedding, and the couple couldn't have been more in love. Both venues were perfect -- the YMCA of the Rockies wedding sites are always super fun to photograph, and the private home they chose for the wedding gave a super intimate, mountain wedding vibe.

Congratulations, Erin and Travis! It was a beautiful day, and we are so glad we got to capture it. Thanks to our associate photographer, Kim, for the beautiful photos.

Melissa + Eric's Summer Wild Basin Lodge Wedding // Estes Park Wedding Photographer, Denver Wedding Photography

Who doesn't love summer weddings? Out of all of the seasons, summer weddings are probably my favorite. The greenery, summer sun and excitement for months of warm weather to come. Melissa and Eric's Estes Park wedding at Wild Basin Lodge couldn't have been on a more beautiful day. We had a few minutes of clouds and a few raindrops when we arrived, but it was all proceeded with a beautiful summer afternoon and evening with sun and warmth. The fresh green grass, beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park mountain views and colorful flowers throughout the day made this day great. And of course the union of two people committing their lives together and joining their families made it all magical.

Eric and Melissa met several years ago as co-workers while both in the midst of a different life. Several years later they reconnected. Eric described that he loves Melissa because everything she does makes him love her more and more. She makes him strive to be a better man, and is the most beautiful woman he has have ever seen. Her smile melts his soul. Melissa said she loves everything about Eric. How patient he is. That he loves her unconditionally even on her worst days. He's an amazing father, a giving person and just a joy to be around. No one has ever had anything bad to say about him. They both just knew early on into reconnecting -- and when they did finally get engaged it was a low key day at home; which was exactly what they wanted.

Congratulations, Melissa and Eric. I was so blessed to spend the day with the both of you, and am so excited for your adventures to come. It's going to be a great year -- and I am so thankful for you; your love and your story is inspiring.

Gwen + Danny // Urban Old Town Fort Collins Luxury Wedding Styled Shoot // Fort Collins Wedding Photographer

Gwen + Danny // Urban Old Town Luxury Fort Collins Wedding Photography Styled Shoot

I am SO excited to share Gwen + Danny's styled shoot! We couldn't have had a more gorgeous night, mixed with a little wind and golden sun plus a 1961 Cherry Red Corvette. You can't ask for more as a photographer. Gwen and Danny have actually been married for coming on close to 9 years from what I remember. As you can imagine, wedding photography and weddings have changed so much since then, so they were super excited to do the shoot. Gwen and Danny also have THREE beautiful kiddos at home, so it was a fun opportunity for them to get away and get all snazzy without the kids hanging all over them. They even grabbed some yummy Chinese food afterwards on this "date." Anyway, it was a great evening and I am SO glad I got to work with these two. If you ever need some Lularoe, Gwen is an awesome consultant ;), and if you ever need to buy a house, Danny is realtor at The Group in town!

The beauty of styled shoots, is that you really get to live out your creative vision and work with several other amazing vendors. Emily from Jolly Events put this whole thing together, and coordinated pretty much everything you see in the photos. She worked super hard on this and I am so glad I got to be her partner in it all! Thank you Emily for all of your hard work on this luxury wedding photography shoot in Fort Collins. I can't wait to work with you more!

Anne & Dylan Wedding Sneak Peek // The Manor House Wedding // Littleton Wedding Photographer, Denver Wedding Photographers

Anne & Dylan Wedding // The Manor House

Congratulations to Dylan and Anne on a beautiful celebration at the Manor House. It was a beautiful Colorado day in April, and this bride and groom couldn't have been more excited to tie the knot. Anne was a classically, beautiful bride this day. I loved her birdcage veil and elegant dress; it was perfect for such a beautiful venue.

Anne and Dylan actually met in middle school, and rekindled their love after college while meeting again for Happy Hour. Anne then proposed to Dylan after the Broncos won the superbowl. I always love hearing such unique stories like this.

Congratulations, Anne and Dylan!! It was an amazing day!
